It is a long term initiative to improve our children’s success in school and in the world.  The many facets of the program were presented and questions were addressed during the 45 minute presentation.  Most members retired to share lunch together and continue the discussion.

POLITICAL FORUM EVENT

AAUW Kaua`i proudly sponsored the August 4, 2016  Kaua`i Candidates Forum with 5 other organizations.   This 4 hour event was a great success with over 300 people in attendance.

Our member, Leilani Spencer, was one of the two Moderators.  Both carried off the event with professionalism and non-partisanship which set the tone for this great example of civil discourse.

Congratulations to everyone involved with the planning.  CeCe Caldwell, Holly Harris, Leilani Spencer and Rose Anne Jones attended many meetings to help develop the candidates’ questions and other logistics for the event.

Mahalo to member, Leilani Spencer, for her great job as co-moderator!
